Hello, Friends!

I was so happy to see everyone on Tuesday and Thursday. It is wonderful to meet new Friends and to catch up with old Friends.

International Bible Study, Tuesdays, 9:00-10:30, room 100
We looked at the books in the Bible and talked about how the Bible is the library of God where you can learn about Him and the the word of God where you can learn from Him. We are reading the book of Luke at International Bible Study. Luke was a physician and a man of science, so he was careful to ensure that all his facts were accurate before he documented them: he interviewed people, he confirmed stories with eyewitnesses (Luke 1:1-4). We read about the announcement of John the Baptist's birth (annunciation) (Luke 1:5-25). This is a great story with many connections to our lives.

Tuesday, September 1 we will read and talk about Luke 1:26-38 the announcement of Jesus' birth.

From the Biblegateway webpages: you can change the translation to many different languages by selecting another version in the second field at the top of the screen. Also, you can view a side by side version. Finally, you can listen to the version read to you to practice your English.
