Countdown to the Indy 500

Hello, Friends.

Memorial Day is an important American holiday. We honor the military men and women who died in service to our country. If you walk a cemetery over the weekend, you will see flags flying beside the tombstones. There are always parades and speeches.

Memorial day also is the unofficial kick of of the summer. Most swimming pools open BBQs and picnics are a required past time. It is a federal holiday, so don't expect to get official business done on Monday.

Finally, in Indianapolis, Memorial Day ends the month long 500 Festival. The parade is one of the two American parades televised internationally. Wave hi to friends and family all over the world! By all means, try and get out to the track and hear the roar of the Indy Cars. If the race doesn't finish on Sunday due to the weather, then be ready to race on Monday!

Have a great weekend.
