It is time to go back to school. Our classes and meetings begin after Labor Day (September 7, 2026).

International Friends Registration - Cornerstone Lutheran Church

It is never too late to join us either in person or on Zoom. 

Here is a sneak peek at the opening day agenda (we will see how far we get!): 

• We will begin with getting to know you (again). What have you been up to?
• We will set a schedule. What do you want to do about "in person" opportunities?
• We will set personal and class goals for the next few weeks. What is your American language focus for the next few weeks?

Football Season

Welcome back-to-school and welcome to the football season. Middle school, high school, and collegiate teams are on the field. It is an exciting season. We start the season sweating in the stands and end the season shivering in the snow.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend marks the end of the summer in the United States. In the northern states, swimming pools close (even though the days are usually still hot). Labor Day is a federal holiday recognizing workers. Some people squeeze in a late season short vacation. Bar B Ques, fishing and boating, one last dip in the pool. These are just a few of the ways that people wrap up the summer (officially).
